Being able to blend and segment letters is a fundamental skill for a child’s reading development. With this lively app, children can practise these skills by deciphering the missing final sound of consonant-vowel-consonant words. Spot the fish that has the missing letter of the CVC word shown on screen. Watch it swim into place if it is correct or speedily swim away if it is not. When completed, the word appears on a pebble at the side of the screen and a new game begins.
